Extra Strength Generic Minoxidil 5% for Men - Twin Pack
Active Ingredient: Minoxidil 5% by weight and volume : Note: Generic Minoxidil solutions are a far more economical solution than Rogaine Foam. They are not available as a foam just yet however. The Rogaine Foam patent should run out in around 2010. At that time, we expect to see a generic minoxidil in foam.
Purpose:
Hair Regrowth Treatment For Men. Compare to Rogaine Extra Strength 5% Solution
Use:
To regrow hair on top of the scalp (the vertex).
It takes time to regrow hair. You may need to use a generic minoxidil solution twice-daily for at least 4 months before you see results.
The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person. Minoxidil will not work for everyone.
Clinical research in mostly white men aged 18-49 years with mild to moderate degrees of hair loss showed that a 5% minoxidil solution provided more hair regrowth than a 2% solution.
As a reminder, the response to a 2% minoxidil solution was: 26% of men reported moderate to dense hair regrowth after using 2% Minoxidil for 4 months (26% had moderate to dense regrowth; 33% had minimal regrowth). This compares with 11% of men reporting hair regrowth after using the placebo, the liquid without Minoxidil in it, for 4 months. Along with the 26% that reported dense hair regrowth during the four months 11% reported moderate regrowth and 31% had minimal regrowth.
Continued use is necessary or hair loss will begin again. If you do not see hair regrowth in 12 months, stop use.
Warnings:
Do not use if:
- You do not know the reason for yourhair loss
- You are under 18 years of age
- You use other topical prescription products on your scalp.
Do not use if you have:
- No family history of hair loss
- Sudden and/or patchy hair loss
- A red, inflamed, infected, irritated or painful scalp.
You use other topical prescription products on your scalp. Stop Use and See A Doctor If You Get:
- chest pain, rapid heartbeat, faintness, or dizziness.
- sudden unexplained weight gain
- swollen hands or feet
- scalp redness or irritation that continues or worsens.
Directions:
For External Use Only. For use by men only.
Apply 1mL with dropper 2 times daily directly onto the scalp in the hair loss area. Using more, or using more often will not improve results. Do not apply to other parts of the body.
